As Kandy Coast embarks on its sustainability journey, we prioritize responsible practices, leveraging our ownership of a factory in India. Championing social responsibility and job creation, we ensure ethical standards across our supply chain. Integrity, quality, and service define our ethos, alongside a commitment to environmental conservation. We celebrate our diverse workforce, especially the empowerment of women, driving positive change. Our sustainability pledge includes waste reduction and the adoption of eco-friendly materials. This marks just the beginning, with the support of our growing community propelling us forward into a greener future.

Apparel:

In our apparel production, we prioritize efficiency and sustainability. By cutting to order, we avoid overproduction and minimize waste. Utilizing recycled and natural materials, our Oeko-Tex, Better Cotton certified factory ensure that our products are free from harmful substances. Our dyeing process conserves water and reduces carbon emissions. Plus, our machinery is powered by natural gas, emitting 50% less CO2 than coal-powered alternatives. Water use in this fabric production process is filtered and recycled back into the next production cycle!  Any water put back into the environment is filtered before expulsion.

Bags:

Our bags, crafted from natural fibers, embody sustainability, ethics, reusability, and biodegradability. At our GOTS, Sedex, and BRC certified Bag Factory, we ensure traceability and the absence of harmful substances in yarns, trims, and printing. With our vertically integrated mill, we oversee the journey from farm to fiber, fiber to factory, and factory to fashion, proudly operating as a CARBON-ZERO factory. Wanting to make the switch from plastic bags to our stylish alternatives crafted from jute —a sustainable plant-based fiber, natural cotton, recycled cotton from PET bottles, and Juco—a blend of jute and cotton—for a greener future.

Packaging:

In our packaging efforts, we prioritize waste reduction. While our garments require protection during transit to prevent landfill waste from damaged packages, we use recycled polybags for this purpose. These polybags are made from recycled plastic and can be repurposed for personal travel or organization. Additionally, our signature tote bags, included with every purchase, are manufactured using GOTS-approved materials, dyes, and factories. These versatile bags can replace up to 200 plastic bags, aligning with our commitment to sustainability
